Muskoka is my happy place in the summer time. Two hours from the big city lights of Toronto, it’s that great escape that takes all your worries and burns them in the most epic bonfire ever. With lakes upon lakes, miles of forest and greens, fantastic vibes and the most relaxation ever. So to say I was excited when Elynn & Joe brought me on board as Full Service Planner & Designer for their summer soiree at Sherwood Inn in Port Carling, Ontario, would be a major understatement. Then we brought on the most epic team of vendors and threw the most amazing cottage inspired weekend ever. Take a journey back with me through this gorgeous photos by one of my favourite women, Barb Simkova from Tara McMullen Photography.
Elynn & Joe's wedding is currently featured in Wedding Bells magazine, on stands now!

The Weekend started off with a boat ride through Lake Joe on the Peerless II with mimosas and views of the beautiful cottages along the shores of the lake. All while the beautiful Elynn and her ladies got ready in the boat house at Sherwood Inn.

Hair & Makeup services were provided by Nicole Richards and her great team of fierce ladies!

Guests made their way down the stairs of the Sherwood Inn main house to a beautiful waterfront point ceremony with incredible views of Lake Joe. We brought in cross back chairs from Chairman Mills to compliment the outdoor aesthetic and Tanya List created the most stunning archway from foraged greens (which was actually our "plan b" after the wind carried away our initial plan of white draped fabric in the trees) and massive urns of fresh white blooms. Absolutely stunning!

After the ceremony, guests we welcomes with cocktails on the patio followed by a beautiful dinner inside the inn, with blooms and greens by the fabulous Tanya List Designs. Stationery was designed by my own in house graphic designer, who happens to be my hubby, Michael J. Duhamel.

Guests had a blast at dinner. With games, a Tragically Hip sing along (with custom lyrics for the bride and groom!), and absolutely delicious food. Nobody wanted the evening to end!
After dinner, guests joined the bride and groom in the bar for their first dance, followed by a rockin' good time with stellar disco band, Tush. I mean, come on! A beautiful Muskoka day, gorgeous wedding, amazing food, and a DISCO BAND! It just doesn't get any better.

What an amazing weekend. I could not be more grateful to have been a part of such a beautiful celebration and to work with such talented teammates. Make sure to check out the gorgeous highlight film below by my new friend, Eric Frank Cinema. One of my favourite videos to date. It will make you feel like you are breathing that Muskoka air right now.
