University love. That's where it all began for Katie and Shaun. Meeting at a party, Shaun only had eyes for the cute girl across the board-game table.
"We should do it again sometime."
That was over 8 years ago.
Katie & Shaun came to me as friends asking for help with their wedding planning. Of course, it was a pleasure to help put together a delightful day for two of the happiest people I know. Literally, there has never been a moment where Katie hasn't been smiling or giggling. Her laugh is infectious.
Their wedding fell on one of the most beautiful spring days of the year. Bringing together family and friends from all across the country, Katie & Shaun celebrated their big day at Archeo, a beautiful exposed brick restaurant in the Historic Distillery District with a gorgeous cobblestone patio. With their focus on wanting to mingle and catch up with old friends and family, we planned a cocktail style soiree for the happy couple so that the evening could be spending mixing and mingling. Guests were treated to an absolutely delicious array of food stations that would make any wedding planner's mouth water. Passed sparkling was served to toast the happy couple after the ceremony, and a sweet cupcake display from Prairie Girl was set up to please the sweetest of sweet tooth's.
Check out a snipet of the wedding photos below, shot by Jeremy Clay Photography.
Thank you to Katie & Shaun for letting me a part of the sweetest wedding day. It is always a pleasure to witness love.
