Happy new year, friends!
With every new wedding season there is inevitably a plethora of new hot wedding songs. Think John Legend’s “All of Me”, or Christina Perri’s “1000 Years”. Last year it was Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking out Loud”. Then there are always the classics to walk down the aisle to: Etta James, Elvis Presley crooning “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, or beautiful orchestrations by Vitamin String Quartet. All of the above are lovely, classic options but sometimes overplayed and overheard!
I get asked quite often for suggestions for ceremony, first dance, and reception songs. I actually love the request! As a total music nerd, I love coming up with interesting and fresh takes on what would make a beautiful walk down the aisle or make mothers cry during first dances. Ceremonies are also an occasion that not only requires processional tracks, but unique tracks for the signing of the register, and a great party song for the recessional. So many options!
So, I’ve decided to lay all my cards on the table and present my fresh wedding music tracks for 2016! Using the fabulous Spotify to share, I’ve created lists for “I Do’s”, “First Dances”, and “Party Tracks”! Have a listen and let me know your thoughts! Are you a bride who would break the mold and play something unique and crazy as you walk down the aisle?
